Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Traditional BSN

As a nurse, we have the opportunity to heal the heart, mind, soul and body of our patients, their families and ourselves. They may not remember your name but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

Concord University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Concord’s BSN program was established in 2022, meaning the curriculum is fresh and up-to-date with learning spaces, equipment, and technology designed for the 21st century.

The Traditional BSN pathway is a 4-year program that is offered in-person on Concord’s beautiful Athens campus. This program is for those with a high school diploma or GED, or those transferring from another educational institution.

Upon acceptance at Concord University, the student will be enrolled as a nursing major. This does not guarantee a seat in the actual nursing program. The student may apply to the BSN program during their sophomore year. Please see below for Eligibility Requirements.

The Traditional BSN application requirements include the following:

  1. Submission of a formal application to the nursing program during sophomore year;
  2. Submission of scores at 70% or above on the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) pre-entrance exam;
  3. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 upon completion of at least 30 hours of credit; and
