First Generation Committee

The First-Generation Committee was started in 2019 by a small number of Concord faculty and staff who shared a common goal. The purpose was, and still is, to celebrate and support CU First-Generation students. With each passing year, we are developing and growing our support, opportunities and way to honor our first-generation students.

Mission

To uplift First-Generation College Students by providing collaborative programs and events that encourage their academic journey while recognizing and celebrating the diverse talents, skills, and identities they contribute.

Vision

To create a first gen minded institution and a campus that empowers, supports, and celebrates Concord University First-Generation College Students.
