About CU Fresh Start

The 2025 CU-ASPIRE Fresh Start summer bridge program for eligible incoming freshman will be a FREE 10-day on campus overnight, all included program. This program will give the participating students a head start on their college path and get them acclimated to Concord’s campus before begining their first year.

All participants will earn UNIV 100 credit by attending daily presentations and workshops developed to clarify collegiate expectations, discuss the transition to college, examine and apply success skills.

The students will be placed in one of the two tracks – English remediation or math remediation – dependent upon areas of weakness identified by high school grade data and submitted test scores (ex: SAT). If a student needs remediation in both areas, the subject with lower scores/ grades will be chosen for placement.

The program also includes engaging activities in the afternoons/evenings such as outdoor activities, games, movies, etc., designed to develop participant’s social skills and foster building friendships.

Please verify the eligibility criteria for participation first (the tab below), then fill out BOTH the Interest and the Commitment forms on the right (top two).

Upon receiving and verifying your forms, all applicants will be contacted via email/phone.

If you are a student who has a DRS counselor, please inform the counselor of your intention to participate in CU Fresh Start. You will need to fill out BOTH the (DRS) Interest Form and the (DRS) Commitment Form on the right (bottom two).

Thank you for choosing Concord University as you take the next step in your journey!
