Biography
Andrew arrived at Concord College in late 1999, as Resident Director of Wooddell Hall and College Court Apartments. After building a strong community within those residence life areas, he moved to the Office of Admissions, in a recruiter role, travelling out-of-state and primary in-state markets. Ultimately promoted to Associate Director of Admissions, he was part of the Admissions team that recruited the largest incoming class in Concord’s history.
After years of Admissions work, Andrew returned to Student Affairs as Student Center Director, Director of Campus Activities, and Greek Affairs Coordinator, with supervisory oversight of Intramurals/Outdoor Recreation programs, Mail Office, Game Room, and Switchboard. Eventually adding the additional responsibilities of Special Events and Faculty Staff Housing/Off-Campus Non-Residential Properties Manager, he was promoted to Assistant Dean of Students, where he oversaw areas within the campus judicial system and ADA accommodations compliance.
After a decade in that role, Andrew returned to Admissions, in the role of Associate Chief of Enrollment, then ultimately Interim Chief of Enrollment, to fill a sudden vacancy in that cabinet-level position. He was part of the recruitment team that garnered the strongest incoming class in a decade. Additionally, he stepped-in as Interim Director of Fundraising, during their first major capital campaign in many years.
Currently, Andrew is the Chief Grants, Government Relations, and Major Gifts Office, overseeing the Office of Sponsored Programs, as well as supervisory oversight of the Student Success umbrella, Upward Bound, Bonner, and the Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS). Though not his alma mater via diploma, Concord University is home, and his desire to move the institution forward has been the cornerstone of many decades of service.
