Biography
Michele Holt comes to Concord University having been the Associate Dean of Nursing at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she helped manage a nursing program that trains over 400 nurses each year. Prior to that, she was a Professor of Nursing at Florida State College at Jacksonville and worked for several years at Ascension St. Vincent’s Medical Center as an Assistant Nurse Manager, as a nurse in the operating room, and as a staff nurse. She has also worked closely with the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to patient safety and healthcare excellence, in which she has authored several contributions to their “Actionable Patient Safety Solutions.”
In her downtime, Michele enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and three pups exploring hiking trails and waterfalls in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southern West Virginia.
