Biography

William earned an ASB from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an emphasis in Music and Video Business in 1993 and began his career at WOWK-TV, where he honed his skills in news production and news photography. In 1996, Bailey transitioned to Stanley Communications, where he assumed the role of Director of Video Production. Leading the audio-visual department of the advertising agency, he spearheaded many award-winning projects for local and regional clients.

In 1998, William returned to broadcast television at WVNS-TV, where he served as Production Manager. Also that year, his passion for education led him to Concord University, as an Adjunct Instructor in the Communications Department.

In 2003, William joined Concord full-time as a Director/Producer, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the university’s media landscape. He spearheaded a myriad of projects, collaborating with faculty, students, administrators, and technologists to bring their visions to life. In addition, William was instrumental in planning and constructing Concord’s LPFM Radio Station WVCU 97.7 during this time.
In 2006, he took on the role of Manager of Instructional Video at Concord University, where he managed the university’s digital production facilities, and In 2013, he became Concord’s Manager of Radio and TV Services.
In 2021 William became an Instructor of Media Studies and continues to manage Concord’s Radio and TV Services.
