ARTIST DIMEJI ONAFUWA TO HOLD EXHIBIT AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY

ATHENS, WV – Concord University will host an exhibit and lecture by Artist and Concord University Alum, Dr. Dimeji Onafuwa beginning later this month.

Dr. Dimeji Onafuwa is a multifaceted Nigerian born artist. His expertise extends beyond the canvas. He is also an educator and UX leader. He holds a PHD in Transition Design from Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied design’s contribution to the new commons, a concept he terms as “recommoning.” He has been invited to deliver conference keynotes, participate in podcasts, and lead workshops worldwide. Topics he covers range from art and alternative economics to transition design, the pluriverse, the commons, allyship, and algorithmic bias.

Dr. Onafuwa’s artistic journey has taken him from his homeland of Nigeria to various cities in the United States and the rest of the world, including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Athens, West Virginia; Seattle, Washington; Los Angeles, California; Tokyo, Japan; Charlotte; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he has exhibited his work.
