CONCORD UNIVERSITY’S MASTER’S IN HEALTH PROMOTION RECOGNIZED AMONG THE BEST IN THE NATION
ATHENS, W.Va. – The Master of Arts in Health Promotion program at Concord University has been recognized among the best programs in the nation by Intelligent.com.
Concord is ranked #2 among “The Top 24 Master’s in Health Education Degree Programs” by the higher education resource guide. The only West Virginia college or university to make the list, Concord has been honored with the “Best Online Program” designation among the schools in this category.
Concord is also being recognized by Intelligent.com as one of “The Top 27 Online Master’s in Health Education Programs.” CU landed in the #2 position on this list, and has claimed the “Best Master of Sciences Degree” designation among the honorees. Again, Concord is the only West Virginia institution to appear on the list.
“We have worked hard to make this a strong program that prepares students for a variety of careers in public health,” stated Dr. Jill Nolan, Master of Arts in Health Promotion Coordinator. “It is so nice to see that effort being recognized in this way.”
“We strive to be flexible, adaptable, and diligent in providing the best possible program for each student that we serve. My department chair, Dr. David Campbell wrote and developed this program and has never ceased to provide a strong vision and unwavering support. Much of our success in the Master of Arts in Health Promotion is also due to our amazing Program Manager, Erin Conner. It truly is a team effort,” Dr. Nolan said.
Intelligent.com implemented a unique methodology that ranks each program on a scale from 0 to 100 across five categories. The scoring system compares each university according to program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost, and student engagement. Researchers compared 704 programs from 2,900 universities and colleges across the United States.
Experts at Intelligent.com assessed programs that help students enhance and develop advanced skills for a variety of in-demand positions. The research identifies programs in the nation based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation.
