CONCORD UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES CU BOUND PROGRAM TO GUARANTEE EARLY ADMISSION TO QUALIFIED HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
ATHENS, WV – Concord University is pleased to announce the CU Bound program designed for high school students from participating counties in West Virginia and neighboring counties in Virginia to aid students in meeting minimum college admission requirements. Students who participate and maintain grades are guaranteed admission to Concord University after they graduate, and will be equipped with the necessary resources to fulfill program requirements. Beginning as early as 9th grade, the admissions and recruitment staff at Concord University will offer support to students and their families by assisting them with admissions and financial aid preparation, which paves the way for a successful college journey.
Parents/Guardians of participating students will also be given supportive resources, regular updates, and have the opportunity to get involved in the Concord University parent community.
President Kendra Boggess says of the program, “Concord University is committed to providing pathways to success for high school students through our new CU Bound program. Eligible students will be GUARANTEED ADMISSION to Concord, provided tools for success in completing their degrees, and will involve parents in the process. We are excited to provide new opportunities to successful lives and careers for all our students and welcome each one to the Mountain Lion family.”
