2024 West Virginia Potters’ Gathering

For more than 40 years, potters from around the Mountain State have gathered to share ideas, learn new skills, and celebrate the tradition of pottery.

Join us on “The Campus Beautiful” November 1-3, 2024 for an inspiring weekend, featuring demonstrations from guest artist Linda Christianson.

Schedule

Friday, November 1:

6 p.m. – Gathering of Culinary Art: Bring your favorite covered dish to share as you catch up with old friends (and make a few new ones!)

7:30 p.m. – Lecture and Presentation by guest artist, Linda Christianson

Saturday, November 2:

9 a.m. to Noon – Demonstration

Lunch on your own (The Libby Alvis Dining Hall on campus is recommended)

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Demonstration

4 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Student Art Show, Vendor Sales, Heavy Hors D’Oeuvres

Sunday, November 3:

9 a.m. to Noon – Demonstration

Lunch on your own (The Libby Alvis Dining Hall on campus is recommended)

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Demonstration

Show Your Work

A room will be available for anyone wanting to show/sell their work to participants throughout the WV Potters’ Gathering. If you would also like a table at the event, please indicate so on the registration page.

The Student Art Show is open to high school and college students.

Vendor Sales are open to all artists.

Lodging

Lodging is available at Pipestem Resort State Park or various hotels in the Princeton, W.Va. area.

Dining

Dining on campus is open to all participants. There are also restaurants in Athens (Moe’s and Gino’s).
