In 2019, Concord University was the first public university in the state of West Virginia to develop an Esports program. Ever since, Concord Esports has captured 10 national championships, 9 for Call of Duty and 1 for Rocket League. On top of that, Concord has been recognized for numerous accomplishments such as being a finalist for the 2024 CECC Program of the Year, Finalists for the 2024 CECC Program Impact Award, and the 2024 ECAC Commissioners Cup recipients. Our goal in every competition is to Bring The Passion, which is the motto that we follow in everything that we do. The games that we are currently competing in include: Concord Esports has a total of 4 sperate spaces to hold the competitive teams. The first space is the main facility which holds 7 of our competitive rosters. It is our largest practice space which holds 20 PCs, 5 Nintendo Switches, and a dedicated console space with 2 PS5’s and 2 Xbox Series X’s. Facility two is made up of 20 PC’s and is laid out as an open floor practice facility which holds two of our largest competitive teams. The Player Lounge consists of casual & recovery stations for our players. It contains a variety of stations designed to rejuvenate our players. These include a massage chair, snack areas, full size fridge, and a paraffin wax machine. The newest feature to our facilities is the 160-person live audience Esports arena. This space is where we host and showcase weekly matches, showcase matches, playoffs, and more.
