Biography
Prior to coming to Concord, Professor Coon served fourteen years as a special education teacher and district level administrator. He has taught students with special needs at the middle and high school levels and worked as a district level specialist for Fayette County Schools where he coordinated secondary level special education programs. During that time, he established a community-based work exploration program where students were able to complete job related training in state parks and local businesses that often led to employment. Most recently, as the Director of Personnel for Summers County Schools, Professor Coon helped lead in hiring and development of staff in all content areas.
He and his wife Cecily are the parents of three children, Easton, Vera, and Asa.

Research
