About the CU Bound
Concord University is committed to offering a pathway to college readiness that is easily accessible for high school students in the region, ensuring they are well-prepared for future success.
Our CU Bound program guarantees early admission to qualified high school students from participating counties who meet the minimum requirements in West Virginia. This initiative ensures a seamless transition to Concord University with a guaranteed spot in our freshman class upon high school graduation.
Beginning as early as 9th grade, Concord University offers support to students and their families by assisting them with admissions and financial aid preparation, which paves the way for a successful college journey.
Benefits of the Program
Students who participate in CU Bound and maintain grades receive guaranteed admission to Concord University. The University equips students and their families with necessary resources and support needed to fulfill program requirements.
Admissions and recruitment staff collaborate closely with students, setting clear expectations from the outset to motivate their college success.
Through involvement in CU Bound, students gain:
- Guaranteed admission as early as 9th grade
- Concord University ID card
- Free entry to campus events, including sporting events, theatrical performances, etc.

Who Can Participate
Students in grades 9 through 12 from West Virginia and neighboring counties in southwest Virginia have the opportunity to enter into a guaranteed admission agreement with Concord University.

Informational Sessions
Informational sessions are geared to inform CU Bound participants and families about the many wonderful things happening at Concord but also providing general information on college life. Please register for all sessions below that are of interest to you. Each session has a different Zoom link so registration is required for all sessions you wish to attend. The sessions will begin at 6:00 pm on the respective date.
