Concord University Veterans Upward Bound (CUVUB) Program is a FREE, TRiO program federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Our primary goal is to help veterans achieve their goals by helping them enroll in a postsecondary school (university, community college, and vocational/technical programs).

VUB PROVIDES VETERANS WITH THE FOLLOWING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • GED/Pre-college preparation, including entrance exam practice.
  • Free refresher courses for Math, Science, English, Foreign Language, Computer Basics, and College Success Skills.
  • Free books and materials for VUB Pre-college classes.
  • Ipad, laptop, and calculator rental options.
  • Tutoring and mentoring services.
  • Assistance with understanding and utilizing the Veteran Benefits that you are eligible for.
  • College and Career skills workshops.
  • Available Stipend of up to $40.00/month for participating.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

If you concluded your service in the Armed Forces in good standing; and either you receive a modest income, and/or neither of your parents attained a bachelors degree; and you have the desire to improve your life through higher education, you are eligible to receive the benefits of the Veterans Upward Bound program at Concord University.
